lithium battery?

has anyone tried the seemingly replacment Lithium ion battery?

I have only replaced my old acid cell batteries with like item, but here is a link at the other TW200 Forum where different batteries are discussed. In post number 7, jbfla discusses lithium battery replacement similar to the link you provided.

Shorai batteries and Battery tender jr's are great items!.,,,AGM batteries are great also(Yuasa...that is.)

I'm now using a Earth X battery (Lithium Iron)  I killed my shorai after a couple of low voltage events.   



Notes on all the Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries I can think of : 
The prices listed below are for the battery chargers associated with each battery.

Shorai = Maximum Voltage: 15.2 volts. Minimum Charged Voltage: 12.86 volts.
Battery tender or similar can be used if it does NOT have a desulfation mode. They recommend that you use a shorai charger ($85.00) to keep internal cells balanced. 
LFX™ batteries should be recharged whenever voltage drops to 13.1 volts

Earth X = Maximum Voltage: 15.5 volts. Minimum Charged Voltage: 11 volts. 
Needs no special charger, a battery tender jr ($25.00 / battery tender lithium charger ($70.00) or similar can be used if no desulfation or pulse mode is active.
Battery Management System (BMS) The ETX Lithium battery’s integrated BMS continuously monitors each cell’s voltage. If the voltage of a cell exceeds the others, the BMS circuits will work to reduce that cell’s charge level. This ensures that the charge level of all the cells remains equal. The BMS will also disconnect the battery from the load/charging system (your vehicle) if the voltage drops below 11 volts or exceeds 15.5v.

Antigravity batteries = Maximum Voltage: 14.7 volts. Minimum Charged Voltage: 10.5 volts. 
They strongly recommend using their own smart lithium battery chargers ($65.00).

Ballistic batteries = Maximum Voltage: 14.4 volts. Minimum Charged Voltage: 13.2 volts . Voltage below 9v will damage it. 
They strongly recommend using their "Ballistic Professional Intelligent Digital Balance Charger." Chargers start at $110.00
Standard Charge Specifications: 2 amps @ 13.2 volts until the battery reaches a maximum voltage of 14.4 volts. Any charger with a desulfation mode can damage battery

Deltran aka battery tender brand = Maximum Voltage: 14.8 volts. Damage will occur with 8v or less
They strongly recommended the use of a lithium specific charger such as the units in the Battery Tender Lithium Charger series ( $70.00 ). Keep away from chargers with a desulfation or pulse mode. Discharging below 8v will void the warranty. They recommend keeping battery above 70% capacity.

Skyrich Powersports = Maximum Voltage: 15 volts. Minimum Charged Voltage: 12.86 volts
Both vehicle and battery charger need to limit voltage between 14.0-15.0 volts when charging. The battery cannot be full charged if charging voltage is less than 14.0 Volts, 
I suspect that a charger with a desulfation mode is also a no-no with this battery

While the lithium iron batteries have a very low discharge rate and a long lifespan as long as you keep them from deep discharging, they do not have the same amount of amp hours as a heavier flooded, agm or gel battery.
